Amber classifications
Natural amber
A gemstone that has only been cut, polished and polished, with no other treatments.
Treated amber
A gemstone whose appearance, texture and durability have been altered by human intervention, for example: heat treatment, heat and high-pressure treatment, dyeing using colorants.
Pressed amber
A gemstone formed from many pieces of amber pressed at high temperature and high pressure without additional components.
Amber composition
A gemstone consisting of two or more parts of natural amber, modified or reconstructed, bonded together using the smallest amount of bonding agent necessary to join the pieces.
