Amber gives a mystery of times long gone and is ready to carry forward a thought of joy. It is the mystery that urges us to be curious in observing the beauty of our days, and joy is a universal tradition.
The particularities of amber
In making jewellery, decorative objects and more, not only the natural beauty of raw or unprocessed amber is used. As with other 'stones', amber is sometimes heat-treated to achieve transparency, varied colours and air bubbles, effects used to enhance the beauty of this natural resource. Amber has a lower density than salt water, so it can be felt very easily compared to other 'stones'. This is an advantage, as it makes it possible to use varied and large shapes in amber jewellery and products.
What are the colors of amber?
Amber generally has colours that are not necessarily defined by perfection, with the most commonly used attributes having corresponding shades that leave room for creativity: cherry (dark red shades), cognac (translucent red shades), milk (white shades), honey (matt yellow shades), lemon (transparent yellow shades) and green (natural shade). While we try to classify pieces based on these natural colors, it happens that the shades are lighter or darker, and amber has tiny imperfections or air bubbles that make each amber object special.
